Daniel Beaty is an award-winning actor, singer, writer, and composer. His solo plays Through the Night, Emergence-See!, and Mt. A MUST READ for EVERYONE...Daniel Beaty is a true INSPIRATION

Daniel Beaty is, among many things, a very accomplished stage performer. On stage he is an extraordinarily talented performer with a compelling message of hope for all humanity. Off-stage Daniel is a strikingly beautiful, gentle soul who exudes tremendous grace.
Through the words of Transforming Pain to Power, I felt the same positive energy, personal strength and love that I have experienced in Daniel's presence. Further, I had the same reaction to his book that I have had to his performances - Daniel Beaty has an important message to share and he shares it brilliantly!
In Transforming Pain to Power Daniel describes how he overcame tremendous personal hardship to create a life that is perfect for him. He not only shares how he accomplished this, but also how anyone can achieve this for himself/herself. He freely describes intimate details of his life to illustrate his points and also provides simple yet detailed exercises to follow.
I know that the market is flooded with "self-help" and "the secret of my success" type books so please make no mistake; this book does not fall into those categories. If you are going to select one book this year to change your life, I recommend this one hands down. You will be glad that you did.

A Creative & Surprisingly Joyous Read

I've long been a fan of Daniel Beaty's Poetry especially his poem "Knock Knock". As a high school English teacher, I often use his poetry in my classes because of their ability to reach some of my most resistant students while still appealing to the full class. To learn the stories behind his creative writing in this book make his poetry and plays even more inspiring to me. Both adults and young people need to be reminded that our pain doesn't have to defeat us. In fact, as Daniel says in his book, "Our deepest pain is often the path to our highest purpose." I look forward to spending time with the exercises in this book myself and certainly sharing them with my students. Daniel Beaty is an extraordinary talent who should have a larger platform especially when so much superficiality is being celebrated. I encourage you to purchase this book both to support it's empowering message and to empower yourself.

Wow. Just finished reading it! It is stellar!

Finally, a book that gives us the technology to apply real wisdom out of struggle for our daily lives. Not only is PAIN TO POWER written in a clear, astute and exquisite manner but it is also an emotionally stirring and a beautiful page turner. I was captivated by the author's candor and his life experience and how he uses it to tap into a means for positive change. The book is a must-read for anyone struggling with past hurt, for all young people no matter race or class, and essential for every educator, minister, mentor and artist. While reading this masterful work, one can literally feel old notions of success or buried frustrations began to unlock and the idea of true freedom becomes possible. His story is deeply inspiring but it also feels like he is offering the reader a hand up, a chance to breathe and start anew. I haven't read anything this powerful since I picked up Dr. King's LETTERS FROM A BIRMINGHAM JAIL. I am urging you to read this book. It was recommended to me by a friend. Now I want to recommend it to everybody. Buy two copies. One for you and one for someone you know who is struggling or just needs some support. It is a GREAT gift!

Clear Prophetic Instruction

This book is an excellent introduction into the "ins and outs" of prophetic ministry. This book will bring clarity to anyone seeking a clear understanding on what it means to prophesy, to have the gift of prophecy, and to operate in the office of prophet. It also provides instruction on the Ascension gifts (Five-fold ministry gifts) as well as an overview of the spiritual gifts.
This text is great for personal study, and well as group study - the text is replete with a glossary and study questions.

I HIGHLY recommend this text to anyone seeking to learn more about prophecy. Personally, I've benefitted greatly from reading/studying this book, and I look forward to buying more books from the author.

Developing Your Global Mindset is a comprehensive, yet practical tool for developing your own and others' global perspective. Drs. Javidan and Walker provide many ideas and examples of how to increase capability to work globally, develop your own mindset to work with others from different cultures, and to gather the resources, networks and people needed.

I found the practical tips on how to learn from others and learn from experience particularly helpful. In addition, the case studies and case questions and analysis provide a great resource for anyone developing a leadership program on global leadership or cultural awareness. They also refer to great resources from all over the world and provide easy links to them in digital version.

This is one of those books you can read from cover to cover, or like The Successful Manager's Handbook, dip into and out of, when needed. You can use it yourself or give it to people you coach. It should be on the book shelf, on the Kindle or on the iPad for anyone who works with people from different countries and cultures.

A unique introductory book in statistics. The hallmark of this book is nodoubt the clarity of detailed explanations of fundamental statistical concepts. A lot of invaluable material and explanantions here not to be found in other textbooks on statistics!
Highlights that spring to my mind are the excellent treatments of averages, correlation and regression, and hypothesis testing. A very important topic (usually missing in most textbooks) is the strength of evidence in hypothesis and significiance testing and is treated very nicely in various parts of the books. This book should not be missed by beginners (and probably experts) in the field.

I am using this book for an online graduate statistics course, so there is little direction from a formal instructor. All of my information so far is from this book. It is easy to read and the examples are easy to follow. I would recommend this book to anyone who is beginning the journey into statistics...very helpful

Good manual for the price

Good manual for the price. Should be able to most complete most maintenance items with this manual (belts. hoses, brakes, bearings, shocks, etc.) Don't know if I'd rely on it for major things like dropping the engine/transmission but overall a good manual. Covers things the owner's manual doesn't.

OK for really basic maintenance only

I had purchased this to provide assistance with replacing the navigation antenna on my wifes Ford Edge or atleast to provide guidance on removing the interior trim panels. This book had neither and I had to figure it out without a guide (not a problem, it wasn't too bad). After looking through this book it does a fair job of providing basic maintenance (oil changes, spark plugs, brakes, etc) but anything outside of this basic information will not be in this book. A good portion of this book is devoted to conversion tables/charts, normal maintenance not specific to this vehicle. So be well aware of this if you are looking to purchase this book.
