Thorough and well-researched

This book is an excellent resource for all who believe they have a thyroid condition, but have not been properly diagnosed with blood tests. It is interesting to find out that blood tests are not an adequate measure of TSH, but this is the common testing procedure in western medicine. There is thorough information provided about the differences between hypo and hyperthyroidism, and symptoms to look for. The authors present information on treatments available, as well as natural treatments and recommended diet. The symptom checklist was eye-opening, and I think more women are affected than previously believed. I highly recommend this thorough resource.

I heard this doctor speak on The Thyroid Summit which was organized by Suzy Cohen and David Brownstein. The Thyroid Summit has excellent info about, you guessed it, the thyroid. I like what Lucy Herron had to say in her interview, so I bought this e-book. The information is so minimal and shallow that it's more like an e-pamphlet. There's much better, and more complete, info out there on the internet (STTM is one place). This seemed more like an ad for her clinic (if you live in Australia). The title is completely misleading because there's no way you'll learn how to balance your thyroid hormones in 60 days or less by reading this e-pamphlet. I was really disappointed.

A short pamphlet that was little more than advertising for the author's own establishment. Nothing new here or very interesting. There are a lot of good books on the topic of thyroid disease and diet. Buy one of them rather than this one.
