This prequel to the Alpha Hunted series takes place about nine months before Alpha Hunted: Keelyn & Bane. Meet Sandra, a runaway bride looking to provide for her widowed mother, and Naythan, a wolf shifter determined never to settle down.
This prequel was written for a winter bundle, but it is now available all by itself as a little sneak peek for Alpha Hunted fans to see how Naythan and Sandra met. It's a bit shorter than the other stories in the series, so it's a bit cheaper as well. It's a perfect jumping off story to the series, and it also introduces Bane and Mac- two hot, single shifters in this prequel who won't still be single after Alpha Hunted and Alpha Hunted 2.

It's just awesome! I had a wonderful time entering the world this author created. This is Sandra and Naythan's story. Naythan's wolf knew Sandra was the one but he was not in agreement his wolf. This is a definite must read. Read the story and face the hurdles these two go through for their HEA. It deserves 5 stars!" -Night Owl Reviews

Great intro!

I really enjoy reading Ms. Klaire's books. And this book is no exception!
This is pre-book of a series so if you don't like series...skip it. But if you like how unfolds over several books with each book focusing on the view point of several characters...this is a good series! Each book does have two or three main characters who fall in love BUT it's not just love at first sight. They each have different issues that they have to overcome before their HEA. Though this book is just a taste of this new world without much about the over all story line.
In this book we are introduced to Sandra who overhears her fiance talking to his cousin, it answers several questions for her and leaves her wanting to escape. Good thing for her that an escape is available via the King's caravan! The first person she bumps into is not looking for a Mate but is looking to throw off a female so they strike a bargain. Naythan is going to help find her a husband even though his wolf is howling that Sandra is their Mate. What's a poor wolf to do??

Interesting premise with humor and heat!!

I read this in Shifters in the Snow - one of my favorites – 4.5 stars
We meet Sandra on her wedding day to a man she says her mother basically sold her to. Prince Kendrick says it was love at first sight, and rather than lose the family farm Sandra agrees to marry this man she has only met twice. Then she overhears that the Prince is being ordered to marry a princess for her money – and he is marrying a penniless peasant to spite his father the King who has squandered his fortunes. Realizing the empty promises she runs…..
Naythan is second in command of his wolf pack and like to keep all his options open, especially when it came to women. His pack is setting up for festival when they see a “runaway bride”. Naythan goes to make sure she is OK, and realizes she is his mate. Will she go through with a second “arranged marriage” to a gay prince or will her heart listen to Naythan? Interesting premise with some humor and some heat!!

Sandra is about to marry a prince so her mother will be able to stay in the home Sandra grew up in. Now that Sandra's father is dead, she and her mother are about to be evicted. After overhearing that not only does the prince not have any money, he's only marrying her to get back as his father. Sandra runs away and hides in a caravan traveling to a city some distance away. She meets Naythan, a wolf shifter traveling with the caravan. His pack provides protection for the royalty traveling. Sandra explains she's looking for a rich husband so her mother won't be evicted from her farm. Naythan agrees to help her if she'll help drive away his old girlfriend. She does and so he finds Allen, a rich prince whose parents want him to get married. She agrees even though the marriage will be in name only. Allen is in love with another man. Through ups and downs, Sandra finds out what is really important and sets out to get it. You will love the HEA even though they have to go through some trials and tribulations to get it.
